05-02-2013 > New Rogallo type parachute: WindSos Drive

This is a steerable emergency system with a low sink rate and almost the same volume and weight as a light PDA.

The WindSos Drive has a surface of 36 square meters and carries a maximum load of 115 k. The deployment on these chutes is ultra fast (less than 2 s.) and once is open has no pendular tendency.

It is designed with a pre-brake system the brakes are on during deployment that guarantees a perfect work and a soft landing even when the pilots is not actively driving the chute, or in cases when we can not neutralize, release or recover the main canopy. The glide angle of 1.2 makes possible to avoid any obstacle in the landing zone and contact with the ground is softer than any conventional parachute.

We have used the best light material available in the market, materials that are durable and strong and this guarantees a large life span as long as we follow the recommendations and repack times written in the manual.

Thanks to the low volume the WindSos Drive can be fitted in any harness container or can be carried in our special front mount.
