Quarx2 is an advanced intermediate glider for a wide range of pilot’s, from the weekend recreational flyer to the competition pilot.
The design concepts have been tested and proved in competition. It is the result of applying all our experience in competition prototypes & high tech design work. It has an impressive speed range and sink rate combined with precise handling to catch even the smallest thermals.
The wing has a low aspect ratio. The performance is a result of high tech design and extensive research whilest not sacrificing your safety.

> The planform and aerofoil sections have been specifically designed to achieve a perfect aerodynamic tension so that the glider cuts through turbulence with a high degree of security, even at full speed.
> The width of it's cells reduce across the span, towards the tips. There are three kinds of diagonal ribs at A, B, C, and D, depending on the thickness and width of the cell. No external seams on either top or bottom surface. A system of closed and semi-closed cells.
> A new line layout, with less total line length than the previous Quarx. A new, redesigned and more aerodynamic, stabilo (wing tip).
> There are 168 pieces of material that go in to making each half of the wing. |
